Role: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking a caring and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support students on an individual basis across schools in Sheffield (S2, S3). This is a rewarding opportunity for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant who enjoys providing tailored support and helping students build confidence and independence in their learning.

What to Expect in This 1:1 TA Role:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a student with additional learning or behavioural needs.
  • Assist with classroom activities and adapt learning tasks to suit individual needs.
  • Support students with engagement, focus, and emotional regulation.
  • Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to follow personalised support plans.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment.

Requirements for This 1:1 Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Understanding of SEN or 1:1 support is beneficial.
  • Patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Professional, reliable, and adaptable attitude.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
