Role: Behaviour Support Staff
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking calm, patient, and proactive Behaviour Support Staff to work across schools in Sheffield (S2, S3). This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting students’ behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement in learning.

What to Expect in This Behaviour Support Role:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with behavioural needs.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and resilience.
  • Support students in overcoming barriers to learning and remaining engaged in lessons.
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to implement behaviour strategies.
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements for This Behaviour Support Staff Role:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Confident and consistent approach to behaviour management.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Patient, empathetic, and professional attitude.
  • Ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
