About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will help students access the curriculum, engage with lessons, and build confidence. Working alongside teachers and SEN staff, you will provide tailored support, encourage positive behaviour, and contribute to a vibrant, inclusive classroom culture.
Responsibilities:
• Support students in classroom and 1:1 settings, helping them engage with lessons and activities.
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and preparation of resources.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence among students.
• Monitor and record student progress, engagement, and wellbeing.
• Provide personalised support for students with additional learning needs.
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other staff to provide holistic support.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role preferred.
• Understanding of supporting children with additional learning needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability to support students effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
