Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

Are you passionate about sports and motivated to help young people reach their full potential? A welcoming Sheffield school is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to lead, inspire, and develop students through physical education and extracurricular sporting activities.

About the Role:
As a Sports Coach, you will plan, lead, and support students across a range of physical activities. You will help them develop skills, confidence, and a lifelong enjoyment of sport, while working closely with teaching staff to integrate sports into the broader educational programme and promote wellbeing, participation, and personal growth.

Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging sports sessions and physical activities for students.
• Support students in developing skills, teamwork, and confidence across various sports.
• Promote positive behaviour, fair play, and active participation.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate sports into broader learning objectives.
• Monitor student progress, engagement, and enthusiasm in sports and fitness activities.
• Ensure all equipment and facilities are used safely and maintained appropriately.
• Act as a positive role model, motivating students and promoting healthy lifestyles.

Qualifications:
• Previous experience delivering sports coaching in schools or youth settings.
• Knowledge of a wide range of sports and physical education practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young people.
• Understanding of safeguarding, health, and safety procedures in school sports.
• Flexible, proactive, and committed approach to supporting students and staff.
