Role: Behaviour Support / Mentor
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and proactive Behaviour Support / Mentor to work across schools in Wakefield (WF4). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting students’ personal development, promoting positive behaviour, and helping them reach their full potential.

What to Expect in This Behaviour Support / Mentor Role:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students requiring behavioural or emotional guidance.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, resilience, and social skills.
  • Monitor and mentor students, helping them overcome barriers to learning.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to implement support strategies.
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured environment for students.

Requirements for This Behaviour Support / Mentor Role:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in a school or mentoring setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with students.
  • Confident, patient, and proactive approach to behaviour management.
  • Professionalism and a commitment to supporting students’ personal growth.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
