Salary: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking dedicated, empathetic, and proactive individuals to join a welcoming school community in Wakefield (WF4) as Behaviour Support Staff. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive difference in students’ lives while gaining valuable experience in an educational setting.

Your Role as Behaviour Support Staff:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural needs.
  • Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to ensure consistency and support.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
  • Always uphold school policies and safeguarding standards.

What You’ll Need as Behaviour Support Staff:

  • Experience working with young people (in education or similar settings).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to managing challenging behaviour.
  • A proactive attitude and genuine commitment to supporting students.
  • Relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential).
