Job Title: Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are recruiting a committed SEMH Teacher to work with schools in Wakefield, particularly within the WF4 district, supporting pupils who require emotional and behavioural guidance alongside their learning.
As an Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher, you will create a calm, structured environment, deliver purposeful lessons, and help pupils develop positive coping strategies that support both learning and personal growth.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver structured and engaging lessons tailored to individual needs.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
- Build trusting relationships that encourage engagement and confidence.
- Work closely with pastoral teams and external professionals where required.
- Track progress and maintain accurate records of development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- Proven experience working effectively as an SEMH Teacher.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to teaching.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
