Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are welcoming applications for schools across Wakefield (WF4), offering an opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teacher to deliver tailored learning and create a nurturing classroom environment.

As an Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher, you will design personalised approaches to learning, work closely with support staff, and help pupils build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.

Prime Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver adapted lessons to meet individual learning needs.
  • Support pupils with a range of additional needs through structured teaching.
  • Use positive behaviour strategies to promote engagement and progress.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals.
  • Monitor pupil development and maintain clear assessment records.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience and confidence working as an SEN Teacher.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and adaptability skills.
  • A caring and patient approach to inclusive education.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
