Teaching Assistant
Location: Newham
Salary: £90–£105 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: 8:30 am – 4:15pm
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with strong Key Stage 2 knowledge and a passion for supporting pupils in the classroom?
GSL Education are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming and supportive school in Newham. This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately, with the potential to secure a permanent position. The successful candidate will be working closely with Year 4 pupils, supporting learning, SEN interventions, and contributing positively to the wider school environment.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Support Year 4 pupils with learning activities across Key Stage 2
• Deliver 1:1 SEN support and targeted interventions
• Lead small groups when required
• Assist the class teacher with classroom routines and lesson delivery
• Follow school policies and contribute positively to the school team
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
• Proven Year 4 experience with strong knowledge of KS2
• Recent school-based experience
• Confidence leading groups when required
• A warm and approachable personality with excellent communication skills
• A professional and committed approach to school life
