Role: Design Technology Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S35)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are looking for a creative and practical Design Technology (DT) Teacher to support students across schools in Sheffield (S35). This is an exciting opportunity for a Design Technology Teacher who enjoys hands-on learning and inspires students to develop problem-solving, design, and practical skills.

What to Expect in This Design Technology Teacher Role:

  • Deliver engaging Design Technology lessons across a range of year groups.
  • Plan and prepare practical and theory-based lessons that encourage creativity and innovation.
  • Support students in developing skills in design, manufacturing, and evaluation.
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and well-managed workshop or classroom environment.
  • Assess student progress and work collaboratively with colleagues to support achievement.

Requirements for The DT Teacher Role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching Design Technology is desirable.
  • Strong classroom and workshop management skills.
  • Ability to inspire creativity and independent thinking.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
