Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Hackney
Pay Rate: £95 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time
GSL Education’s London Branch is currently seeking an enthusiastic Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team at a welcoming school in Hackney. If you are passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their full potential, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
About the Role:
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will provide tailored support to students with a range of SEN needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and thrive both academically and socially. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies that meet individual needs. This is a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in a young person’s educational journey.
Responsibilities of Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, adapting strategies to meet individual needs.
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor progress.
- Support students in developing confidence, independence, and social skills.
- Collaborate with teachers and the SEN team to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
Requirements for Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):
- A degree in any subject (essential).
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build trusting relationships and demonstrate patience and empathy.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.
