GSL Education London Branch are looking for an experienced Careers Advisor to work at a welcoming and supportive girls’ secondary school in Haringey. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Careers Advisor who enjoys guiding young people and helping them plan their future education and career pathways. The successful Careers Advisor will play a key role in supporting students to make informed decisions about their next steps.
As a Careers Advisor, you will work closely with students, staff, and external partners to deliver high-quality careers guidance. This Careers Advisor role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in student development. Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one careers guidance sessions to students

Support students with post-16 and post-18 options, including college, sixth form, apprenticeships, and careers

Help students understand their strengths, interests, and career goals

Maintain accurate records of student guidance and progress

Work with teaching staff to support whole-school careers provision

Offer advice on CV writing, applications, and interview preparation

Signpost students to external careers and education services where needed
Requirements:

Previous experience working as a Careers Advisor or in a similar role

A good understanding of careers guidance within a secondary school setting

Strong communication and listening skills

Ability to build positive relationships with young people

Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
