Location: York
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum (MPS/UPS)
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026
GSL Education are recruiting a knowledgeable Humanities Teacher to teach a range of humanities subjects within a secondary school in York.

Humanities Teacher Responsibilities

Teach Humanities subjects at KS3 and KS4

Plan engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum

Support pupil progress and exam readiness

Encourage curiosity and independent thinking

Work collaboratively within the department
Requirements
-
QTS with Humanities background
-
Experience teaching History, Geography or RE

Strong classroom management skills

Commitment to inclusive teaching

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
