Job Title: Physical Education (PE) Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are appointing an energetic and committed PE Teacher to collaborate with schools throughout Barnsley, including the S70 and S71 districts, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons.

As a PE (Physical Education) Teacher, you will encourage pupils to develop confidence, discipline, and resilience through a range of physical activities, while maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver structured and motivating physical education lessons.
  • Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive participation.
  • Adapt activities to meet the needs of pupils with different abilities.
  • Maintain safe practice and manage behaviour effectively during sessions.
  • Monitor progress and support pupils’ physical development.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Relevant experience working as a PE Teacher.
  • Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
  • A positive, enthusiastic approach to physical education.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
