Job Title: Drama Support
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are working alongside schools in Barnsley, covering the S70 and S71 areas, to appoint a skilled Drama Teacher who can deliver engaging and imaginative lessons.

As a Drama Teacher, you will encourage pupils to explore ideas through performance, develop teamwork skills, and express themselves in a supportive and structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging drama lessons that promote creativity and participation.
  • Encourage pupils to build confidence through performance and collaboration.
  • Provide clear guidance and feedback to support student development.
  • Manage classroom behaviour to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Monitor progress and keep accurate assessment records.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge with experience working as a Drama Teacher.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive teaching and safeguarding practices.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
