Cover Supervisor
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £90 – £120 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
GSL Education are currently recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Newcastle upon Tyne. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain classroom experience or take the next step towards a career in education.
The Role:

Supervise classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher.

Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain on task.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

Support students with their learning and maintain a positive classroom environment.

Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.

The Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable).

Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Confidence, adaptability, and a professional approach.

A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
