Role: Design Technology Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Part-Time / Full-Time

GSL Education are seeking a creative and dedicated Design Technology Teacher to inspire students across Sheffield (S5, S9). This is an exciting opportunity for a Design Technology (DT) Teacher who is passionate about innovation, practical learning, and developing students’ design and problem-solving skills.

What to Expect in This DT Teacher Role:

  • Deliver engaging Design Technology lessons across a range of year groups.
  • Plan and prepare practical and theory-based lessons that motivate students.
  • Support students in developing skills in design, manufacturing, and evaluation.
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and productive workshop or classroom environment.
  • Assess student progress and work closely with colleagues to support achievement.

Requirements for This Design Technology Teacher Role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching Design Technology is desirable.
  • Strong classroom and workshop management skills.
  • Ability to inspire students and encourage creativity and independent thinking.
  • A positive, proactive, and professional approach to teaching.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
