Teaching Assistant
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £85 – £110 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to work across a range of welcoming primary and secondary schools in Newcastle upon Tyne. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils’ learning and making a positive impact in the classroom.
The Role:

Support class teachers with the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.

Work 1:1 or with small groups to support pupils’ learning and progress.

Assist in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Support pupils with additional needs, including SEN, where required.

Help prepare learning resources and contribute to lesson activities.

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable).

Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A positive, patient, and proactive approach.

A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
