Job Title: RE (Religious Education) Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediately
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you someone who enjoys encouraging thoughtful discussion and helping learners explore beliefs, values, and ethical ideas?
GSL Education are working with schools across Sheffield, covering the S5 and S9 areas, to appoint a reflective and committed RE Teacher who can deliver meaningful and engaging lessons.
As an RE (Religious Education) Teacher, you will support students in understanding religious traditions, moral questions, and different worldviews, creating a respectful classroom where open discussion is encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver well-structured RE lessons that promote reflection and critical thinking.
- Encourage respectful discussion around moral, cultural, and philosophical topics.
- Support students in developing written and verbal responses.
- Maintain a calm and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate assessment records.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence working as an RE Teacher.
- Clear communication and effective classroom management skills.
- A commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding practices.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
