SEN Teaching Assistant – South London
Location: South London (Southwark, Lambeth, Lewisham, Croydon, Greenwich, Wandsworth, and Bromley)
Salary: £100–£120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Long-Term, Full-Time
Are you an SEN Teaching Assistant or support worker looking for a consistent and rewarding role in a supportive school setting?
GSL Education are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants (SEN TA) to work across a range of specialist SEN schools and inclusive mainstream schools in South London, supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, SLD, PMLD, and complex needs. These roles offer long-term stability, strong school support, and the opportunity to move into permanent positions.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs
• Support students with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement
• Assist teachers with classroom learning and daily routines
• Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, and pastoral teams
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
We are keen to hear from candidates who:
• Have experience in SEN, education, care, youth work, or support work
• Are calm, patient, and confident supporting challenging behaviour
• Are reliable and available Monday to Friday
• Are seeking a long-term, full-time position
School-based experience is advantageous but not essential. Training and ongoing support will be provided.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
