Job Title: Design Technology (DT) Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S2, S3)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are welcoming applications for a Design Technology Teacher to work within schools across Sheffield (S2, S3), delivering engaging lessons that combine creativity, problem-solving, and technical understanding.
As a Design Technology (DT) Teacher, you will lead hands-on learning experiences that encourage pupils to explore design processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques while working safely and confidently in practical settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver practical and theory-based lessons linked to design and manufacturing.
- Guide learners through design briefs, modelling, and project development.
- Promote safe working practices when using tools, equipment, and materials.
- Assess progress and provide clear, supportive feedback.
- Maintain an organised and well-managed learning environment.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- Proven experience working as a Design Technology Teacher within UK schools.
- Strong practical knowledge and awareness of workshop safety.
- Effective classroom management and communication skills.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
