Job Title: Sports Coach

Salary: £460 – £650 per week
Contract Type: Full time, long-term / Day-to-day

About the Role:
As a Sports Coach, you will lead and support students in a wide range of physical activities, helping them develop skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of fitness. You will work closely with teaching staff to integrate sports into the wider educational programme, promoting participation, well-being, and personal development.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging sports sessions and physical activities for students.
  • Support students in developing skills, teamwork, and confidence across a variety of sports.
  • Promote positive behaviour, fair play, and active participation.
  • Collaborate with teachers to incorporate sports into broader learning objectives.
  • Monitor student progress, engagement, and enthusiasm in sports and fitness activities.
  • Ensure all equipment and facilities are used safely and maintained appropriately.
  • Act as a positive role model, motivating students and encouraging healthy lifestyles.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience delivering sports coaching in schools or youth settings.
  • Knowledge of a range of sports and physical education practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire young people.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, health, and safety procedures in school sports.
  • Flexible, proactive, and committed approach to working with students and staff.
