A welcoming primary school in Harlow from January 2026.
This is a full-time, long-term position and a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference to a child’s learning, confidence, and wellbeing while becoming a valued member of a supportive school team.
The Role:

Provide consistent one-to-one support for a pupil with SEN, helping them access learning and thrive in the classroom.

Support the child’s academic, social, and emotional development in line with their individual support plan.

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt activities and learning materials where needed.

Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage engagement, independence, and confidence.

Support the child both in the classroom and during unstructured times such as break and lunch.

Monitor progress and feedback observations to teaching staff.
The Ideal Candidate:

Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting.

A patient, calm, and nurturing approach, with strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to build positive relationships and provide consistent support.
-
A genuine passion for working with children and helping them reach their potential.
-
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3) are desirable but not essential.
