Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)

Are you a creative and skilled Design Technology Teacher passionate about hands-on learning and innovation?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Sheffield (S35) from January 2026.
As a Design Technology (DT) Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ design, technical, and problem-solving skills across a range of DT disciplines. This role offers flexible day-to-day and long-term opportunities, ideal for teachers who enjoy practical teaching and inspiring creativity.
Main Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Teach across relevant DT specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Graphics.
• Support students in developing practical, technical, and creative skills.
• Ensure a safe and well-managed workshop or classroom environment.
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental objectives.
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge in Design Technology.
• Experience teaching DT in UK schools is desirable.
• Excellent classroom and workshop management skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
• A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
