Job Title: Science Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S35)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher eager to spark curiosity and a love for scientific discovery?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a supportive and well-resourced school in Sheffield (S35) from January 2026.
As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, helping students develop practical skills, critical thinking, and a strong understanding of scientific concepts.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Teach Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics across relevant key stages.
• Carry out practical experiments safely and effectively.
• Encourage enquiry, problem-solving, and independent thinking.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and engagement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental objectives.
Skills & Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge in Science.
• Experience teaching Science in UK schools is desirable.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
• A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
