Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S35)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you a passionate and dedicated English Teacher eager to inspire a love of language and literature?

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Sheffield (S35) from January 2026.

As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills, helping them to achieve academic success and confidence in communication.

Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Teach literature, language, and literacy skills across relevant key stages.
• Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Support students of varying abilities to reach their full potential.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental objectives.

Teacher of English Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
• Experience teaching English in UK schools is desirable.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
• A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
