SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Malton
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026

GSL Education are recruiting a resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist provision near Malton, supporting pupils with complex educational and emotional needs.

About the School

This setting supports learners who benefit from a therapeutic, relationship-led approach. Pupils access a flexible curriculum alongside support for emotional regulation, communication skills and confidence building.

SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs

  • Assist with individual education and behaviour plans

  • Promote engagement and emotional wellbeing

  • Support learning inside and outside the classroom

Requirements

  • Experience working with SEND or vulnerable pupils

  • Strong behaviour support skills

  • Patient and consistent approach

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
