PE Teacher
Location: Dover, Kent
Salary: £120 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: January 2026
Are you an enthusiastic and motivating PE Teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity from January 2026? GSL Education Kent are working closely with a well-established secondary school in Dover to recruit a committed PE Teacher to join their physical education department. This role would particularly suit a PE Teacher with experience delivering girls’ PE, and applications from female PE Teachers are especially welcomed.
As a PE Teacher, you will play a central role in promoting physical health, teamwork, confidence, and resilience among students. The successful PE Teacher will deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across KS3 and KS4, encouraging participation and a lifelong love of sport and fitness. You will be supported by an experienced department and senior leadership team who value high-quality teaching and staff well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles
• Assess, track, and report on student progress
• Support school sports fixtures, enrichment activities, and events
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, participation, and safety
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A positive, enthusiastic, and proactive approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
