Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Pay rate: Upto £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are appointing a History Teacher to teach within schools in Sheffield’s S11 district, creating engaging lessons that encourage discussion and deeper understanding.
As a History Teacher, you will bring historical events, people, and themes to life through well-structured teaching. This role allows a History Teacher to support pupils in developing analytical skills while exploring a wide range of historical perspectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging history lessons that are clear, balanced, and accessible.
- Encourage critical thinking through discussion, source analysis, and debate.
- Support pupils in developing strong written and evaluative skills.
- Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment.
- Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge and experience working as a History Teacher.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to inclusive teaching and safeguarding practices.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
