Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S65, S66)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Rotherham (S65, S66) from January 2026

As a History Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that help students understand historical events, develop analytical skills, and form informed perspectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Teach a range of historical topics across key stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental and whole-school initiatives.
  • Encourage critical thinking, debate, and independent enquiry.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and engagement.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

History Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in History.
  • Experience teaching History in UK schools is desirable.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
