Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Rotherham (S65, S66) from January 2026
As a History Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that help students understand historical events, develop analytical skills, and form informed perspectives.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Teach a range of historical topics across key stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental and whole-school initiatives.
- Encourage critical thinking, debate, and independent enquiry.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and engagement.
- Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
History Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in History.
- Experience teaching History in UK schools is desirable.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
- A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
