Job Title: Computer Science Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S65, S66)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join a supportive and well-resourced school in Rotherham (S65, S66) from January 2026.

As a Computer Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that build students’ understanding of programming, algorithms, and digital systems. This role offers flexible day-to-day and long-term opportunities, suitable for teachers who enjoy inspiring future technologists.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Teach topics such as programming, algorithms, data representation, and computer systems according to Key stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • Encourage logical thinking, problem-solving, and digital creativity.
  • Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a positive, well-managed, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support students in developing safe and responsible digital practices.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental objectives.

What we need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Computer Science in UK secondary schools is desirable.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
