Job Title: Drama Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S65, S66)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you a creative and passionate Drama Teacher eager to inspire confidence, expression, and performance skills in young people?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Drama Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in Rotherham (S65, S66) from January 2026.

As a Drama Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that encourage self-expression, teamwork, and creativity while developing students’ performance and communication skills. This role offers flexible day-to-day and long-term opportunities, ideal for teachers who thrive in creative and collaborative environments.

What you have to do as a Drama Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Drama lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Teach performance, improvisation, and theatre skills across key stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • Encourage creativity, confidence, and collaboration in the classroom.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental initiatives
  • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • Support school productions, performances, and enrichment activities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Drama in UK schools is desirable.
  • Strong subject knowledge and degree in Drama and Performing Arts.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
