Salary: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Staff to join a supportive school in Wakefield WF4. This role is perfect for someone passionate about helping pupils manage their behaviour, develop positive relationships, and achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Behaviour Support Staff:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students with behavioural needs.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
  • Foster positive relationships to encourage engagement and learning.
  • Support teachers in maintaining a calm, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and external professionals to support student development.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.

Requirements for the Behaviour Support Staff role:

  • Previous experience supporting children with behavioural or SEMH needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and safeguarding procedures.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
