Job Title: Sports Coaches
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460-£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract type: Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are appointing Sports Coaches to work throughout schools in Wakefield, WF4, supporting pupils through structured physical activities and promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
As Sports Coaches, you will deliver engaging sessions that build teamwork, confidence, and positive behaviour, working with teaching staff to ensure activities are inclusive, safe, and enjoyable for all pupils.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver structured sports and physical activity sessions.
- Support pupils in developing coordination, teamwork, and confidence.
- Promote positive behaviour and sportsmanship during activities.
- Assist with setting up, organising, and safely storing equipment.
- Supervise pupils during indoor and outdoor sporting sessions.
Requirements of Sports Coaches:
- Experience working with children or young people in a sports or school setting.
- A strong interest in physical education and youth development.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Awareness of safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
