Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Sheffield (S35) from January 2026.
As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that foster a love for literature and language, support academic progress, and encourage confident self-expression in students of all abilities.
Teacher of English Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Teach key areas including reading, writing, grammar, and literature.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and track attainment.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour in line with school policies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental and whole-school objectives.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and previous experience teaching English in secondary schools is desirable.
- Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to engage, motivate, and inspire learners of varying abilities.
- A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
