Job Title: PE (Physical Education) Support
Location: Wakefield (WF4)
Pay rate: £460-£600 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract type: Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are providing PE Support roles within schools across Wakefield in WF4 postcodes, assisting staff in delivering engaging and inclusive physical education sessions.

As PE (Physical Education) Support, you will help pupils participate safely in physical activities, promote teamwork and resilience, and encourage a positive attitude towards health and wellbeing, while working with teachers to keep lessons smooth, motivating, and engaging.

Core Responsibilities of PE Support:

  • Assist in the delivery of PE lessons and sporting activities.
  • Support pupils with warm-ups, drills, and skill development.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and teamwork during sessions.
  • Help set up, manage, and store equipment safely.
  • Supervise pupils during indoor and outdoor activities.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people in a school or sports setting.
  • A positive, enthusiastic approach to physical activity.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
  • Awareness of health, safety, and safeguarding procedures.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
