Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield (S35)
Salary: £460 – £650 per week (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor (CS) to support a welcoming and well-structured school in Sheffield (S35) from January 2026.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes during teacher absences and ensuring students remain focused and engaged with pre-set work.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions confidently.
- Maintain a calm, orderly, and positive classroom environment.
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies and expectations.
- Support students with their work and encourage positive engagement.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
Skills & Requirements for a Cover Supervisor (CS):
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Strong classroom presence with good behaviour management skills.
- Confident, adaptable, and able to manage different classroom settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive and professional attitude towards supporting student learning.
- A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
