Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S35)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you a passionate and engaging Geography Teacher eager to inspire students to explore the world around them?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Sheffield (S35) from January 2026.
As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons that develop students’ understanding of physical and human geography, environmental issues, and global perspectives. You will encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and informed discussion within a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities of a Geography Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Develop students’ geographical skills, knowledge, and understanding of global issues.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress effectively.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour in line with school policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support departmental and whole-school goals.
What we need:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in Geography or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching Geography in secondary schools is desirable.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
- A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
