Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S35)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you an energetic and motivated PE Teacher passionate about promoting physical wellbeing and teamwork in schools?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Sheffield (S35) from January 2026.

As a PE Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inclusive physical education lessons that encourage students to lead active, healthy lifestyles. You will play a key role in developing students’ physical skills, confidence, and sportsmanship across the curriculum.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Teach a range of sports and physical activities across Key Stages.
  • Promote teamwork, resilience, and positive attitudes towards physical fitness.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Ensure safe practice and effective behaviour management during lessons.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support extracurricular sports and activities.

Requirements for PE Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education.
  • Previous experience teaching PE in secondary schools is desirable.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and able to motivate students of all abilities.
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
