Job Title: Computer Science Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S35)
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you a skilled and forward-thinking Computer Science Teacher passionate about preparing students for the digital world?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Sheffield (S35) from January 2026.
As a Computer Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and structured lessons that develop students’ understanding of computing principles, programming, and digital literacy. You will inspire learners to think logically, solve problems, and gain confidence in using technology across the curriculum.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Teach programming, algorithms, and core computing concepts in line with the curriculum.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and track achievement.
- Maintain positive behaviour and a focused learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and enrichment activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science or Computing.
- Experience teaching Computer Science in secondary schools is desirable.
- Confident classroom management and effective communication skills.
- Passion for technology and inspiring young people to succeed.
- A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
