Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Hull
Salary: £90 – £105 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a patient and supportive Learning Support Assistant passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning?

GSL Education are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work in supportive school environments across Hull.

As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will provide tailored support to pupils who need additional help to engage with their learning, working closely with teaching staff to ensure every student can succeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group learning support to pupils.
  • Assist students in accessing the curriculum and completing learning tasks.
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN, when required.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to monitor progress.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements for an Learning Support Assistant (LSA):

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
  • CACHE Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow school policies and safeguarding procedures.
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
