Job Title: Behaviour Teaching Assistant
Location: Hull
Salary: £90 – £105 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant to work in supportive school settings across Hull.
As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant (Behaviour TA), you will play a vital role in helping students manage their behaviour, engage positively with learning, and develop essential social and emotional skills within a structured and nurturing environment.
Main Responsibilities of a Behaviour Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural needs.
- Support the implementation of behaviour management strategies and intervention plans.
- Help students remain engaged, focused, and motivated during lessons.
- De-escalate challenging situations using positive behaviour techniques.
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to monitor progress and behaviour.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs is desirable.
- A patient, resilient, and proactive approach.
- CACHE Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and classroom support skills.
- Ability to follow school policies, behaviour strategies, and safeguarding procedures.
- A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
