Job Title: RE (Religious Education) Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £1100 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate/January 2026 start
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are creating opportunities for a dedicated RE Teacher to inspire learners in Barnsley, particularly within the S70 and S71 postcode areas, fostering curiosity and respect for a variety of religious and ethical perspectives.
As an RE (Religious Education) Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons on religion, morality, and philosophy, encouraging critical thinking and self‑reflection through interactive discussion, enquiry, and research.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality RE lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
- Encourage critical thinking, reflection, and respectful discussion.
- Support students in exploring diverse beliefs, ethics, and moral issues.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience as an RE Teacher.
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering RE lessons.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Professional and reflective approach to teaching and safeguarding.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
