Job Title: Computer Science (CS) Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70, S71)
Pay rate: Upto £1100 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate/January 2026 start
Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time

GSL Education are recruiting a skilled Computer Science Teacher to support schools across Barnsley, helping students in the S70 and S71 postcode areas strengthen both their knowledge and practical computing skills.
As a Computer Science (CS) Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons in programming, algorithms, and computational thinking, encouraging creative problem-solving and guiding students to apply theory through practical projects.
Core Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in computer science and ICT (Information and Communication Technology).
- Support students in developing coding, problem-solving, and digital literacy skills.
- Monitor progress and provide constructive, targeted feedback.
- Encourage creativity, curiosity, and independent thinking in technology.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching computing or ICT as a Computer Science Teacher.
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering both theory and practical lessons.
- Effective classroom management and clear communication skills.
- A professional and reflective approach to teaching and safeguarding.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
