Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Sheffield (S11)
Pay rate: £460-£650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate/ January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are recruiting reliable Cover Supervisors to work within schools across Sheffield, supporting settings located in the S11 postcode area.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will oversee classes during short-term staff absences, ensuring pupils stay focused, complete set work, and follow school expectations. This role offers a valuable opportunity for those who enjoy working with young people and want hands-on experience in an educational setting.
Kay Responsibilities:
- Oversee whole-class learning using work provided by teaching staff.
- Maintain a calm and orderly classroom atmosphere.
- Encourage students to stay engaged and complete assigned tasks.
- Manage behaviour confidently and follow school behaviour policies.
- Deal with any issues appropriately and report concerns to senior staff.
- Ensure students’ safety and wellbeing throughout the school day.
Requirements of Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with children or young people in any relevant setting.
- Confidence leading a classroom and communicating clearly with students.
- A flexible, organised, and professional approach.
- Ability to respond positively to challenging situations.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A strong awareness of safeguarding responsibilities.
