Job Title: RE (Religious Education) Teacher
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: Upto £ 1100 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate/ January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently appointing a dedicated RE Teacher to work within schools across Sheffield, supporting learners in the S5 and S9 areas and helping them develop a clear understanding of religion, ethics, and society.
As an RE (Religious Education) Teacher, you will inspire curiosity and critical thinking through engaging lessons that foster reflection, open-mindedness, and respect. You’ll guide students in exploring diverse religious traditions and moral perspectives within an inclusive learning environment.
Prime Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that explore religious beliefs, ethics, and philosophical questions.
- Encourage respectful discussion and thoughtful debate among students.
- Help learners develop analytical skills and the ability to express informed opinions.
- Assess and monitor progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.
- Promote tolerance, understanding, and inclusivity through your work
- Maintain a calm, respectful, and supportive classroom atmosphere.
Requirements:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) with relevant subject experience suitable for working as an RE Teacher.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to present sensitive topics clearly and fairly.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- A reflective and open-minded approach to teaching and learning.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A professional understanding of safeguarding and student wellbeing.
