SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Newham
Pay Rate: £90 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Long-Term, Full-Time
Working Hours: 8:30 am – 4:15 pm
GSL Education’s London Branch is currently seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a modern and inclusive school in Newham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and looking for a long-term role with potential for career progression.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will provide dedicated 1:1 support to students with additional needs, ensuring they can access learning and thrive in a positive environment. You will work closely with teachers and the SEN team to deliver tailored interventions and uphold school policies.
Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Deliver 1:1 SEN support to students in classroom and individual settings.
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and differentiated activities.
- Promote social, emotional, and academic development through encouragement and patience.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers and staff to maintain an inclusive learning environment.
- Follow school policies and contribute positively as part of a team.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous SEN experience and knowledge.
- Recent school-based experience.
- Ability to deliver 1:1 SEN support confidently.
- Good level of spoken and written English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
