Teaching Assistant
Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Long Term, Full-time
Hours: 8:30am – 3:45pm

Are you a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive primary school setting?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming school in Tower Hamlets on a long-term, full-time basis.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning and development, particularly within Year 2, providing focused SEN support and helping to maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 SEN support to pupils, tailored to individual needs.
  • Support learning activities in line with the curriculum and lesson plans.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SEN staff to support progress.
  • Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures, and behaviour strategies.
  • Encourage engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour in pupils.
  • Contribute effectively as part of a collaborative school team.

Teaching Assistant (TA) Requirements:

  • Proven SEN experience and a good understanding of additional needs.
  • Recent school-based experience, specifically within Year 2.
  • Ability to deliver effective 1:1 SEN support.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow school policies.
  • Good level of spoken and written English.
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
