About the Role
We are seeking a caring, resilient and enthusiastic Unqualified Teacher (SEN Focused) to join our dedicated SEN team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and who may be considering a future career in SEN teaching or educational psychology.
You will work closely with qualified teachers, the SENCo and support staff to deliver high-quality learning experiences for pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them to thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities

Support and deliver learning for pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs

Plan and deliver structured learning activities under the guidance of qualified teachers

Lead small group and, where appropriate, whole-class learning

Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual needs and learning styles

Support the implementation of EHCPs and personalised learning plans

Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independence

Monitor, assess and record pupil progress

Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCo, therapists and parents/carers
The Ideal Candidate Will

Have experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care or alternative provision)

Be patient, empathetic and resilient

Show a strong commitment to inclusion and safeguarding

Have good communication and organisational skills

Be eager to develop professionally within SEN education

Aspire to teacher training or further SEN qualifications (desirable but not essential)
