Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Dinnington (S25)
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate / January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term | Full-time / Part-time
Are you a patient and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant passionate about supporting students with additional needs to succeed in education?
GSL Education are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school setting in Dinnington (S25).
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs, helping them engage with learning and develop confidence both academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN.
Assist in delivering lessons according to the curriculum and individual education plans. - Support pupils with learning difficulties, ASD, SEMH, or other additional needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and feedback to teaching staff.
- Support with personal care needs where required.
SEN TA Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance (preferred, not essential).
- A caring, patient, and resilient approach to supporting learners.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
